Rules

Full rules and conditions are available in the rod room at Abercothi. They apply to all rods and guests.

​

  1. The fishing is divided into three beats; Llwchgwyn, Abercothi and Junction (see fishing Map).  Rods shall be allocated a beat and these shall rotate daily from 0700 hrs until 0700 hrs the following day.

  2. Only fly fishing or spinning is permitted.

  3. Dogs are allowed at Abercothi but must be under control.

  4. Guests are responsible for the security of their vehicles, fishing and other equipment and valuables at all times.  Abercothi Fishing shall not be held liable for any loss or damage.

  5. The accommodation should be ready by 1500hrs on the day of arrival and guests are asked to have the house ready for cleaning by 1100 hrs on the day they leave.  There are facilities in the Rod Room if need be.

14th April 2024:

The salmon in the photo was caught on the Cothi weighing over 20 lbs & 38 inches long.  Another 8lb Salmon was caught yesterday on the Junction.
